Scofield 12-24
#1
Daddy promised his big fishing buddy (my 4 yr. old) an outing before the family gatherings this afternoon, so we headed down to Scofield. we got there about 9:30, and fished near the dam. My daughter was more interested in sledding and playing in the snow, so I can't say that we hit it hard, (fished maybe half the time) but we did OK for the short time we spent there. All bows and most were in the 9-12 inch range. The bite was very soft today. We left the area at 11:30. There was another group near us that was fishing more intently than we and they had several as well, including a couple of bigger ones. There weren't very many anglers out on the main lake for a Saturday, and a couple of guys I talked to said it was slow out there. Conditions were excellent, and ice was 14 inches, clear ice. No slush.
Well, Santa is on his way now, so I will wish you all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous new year! Tight lines.

Sounds like you had a funny day on the pond with the youngsters even tho the bite wasnt hot. But theres far more to fishin' than fishin' when the kids are with and thats what makes fishin' with kids a hoot...
