joe's valley where the h-ll is that? lol
sorry i have not been there this ice season.. i wanted to go this weekend but got over ruled and have to go to fish lake this weekend insted.. damn the luck.. i dont know if the ice there is safe or not.. that is why i'm not going there this weekend.. even for me it's a long drive to find out there is not ice or unsafe ice.. joe's valley is only 18 miles from my house as the crow fly's.. but 2 1/2 hr drive 1 way.. so without knowing what i'm going to find when i get there makes it hard to spend the time getting there.. and i have not been able to find a contact over that way to give me a up date on the lake.. Ron, sounds like you should go cross country by snowmobile and save substantial time and distance, or would it take a helicopter? [signature]

i think it would take a helicopter.. lol
reader canyon is a long and hard road this time of year..lol and going through the scad valley on snowmobile would take over 2 or 3 houres as well i think.. [signature]

Hey, Ron, let me know and I can get you a helicopter ride out of Joe's Valley via Life Flight. Can't guarantee a flight in, though.[laugh]
Give us a holler on how Fish Lake is, especially if there is ice in the middle area. [signature]

Well thanks for the no info posts guy's. I guess when I go pick up my elk head in huntington next week I'll have to be the one to go and see for myself and post a report. If it's not safe I guess I can always fish cottenwood creek for some good brown action. If my fat butt goes through the ice at jv though I may need that helicopter ride. I'll keep you posted.
