Lloyd, it is difficult feeling too sorry for you missing the hard water up here, when you can catch those nice fish down there in your shirt sleaves! Have a great time and we will get out and drown a worm or two when you return.

Hey Lloyd, looks like you're have'en a good time. you really need to try one of the rivers there for big brown trout. I seen a couple of tv shows about the big browns in New Zealand. so, not till April hu, looks like you're going to miss the walleye spawn at U.L. this year. we can hit deer creek after you get back and settled back down.
talk to you later chuck

Thanks for chiming in Lloyd. I'm glad you are able to get some fishing in down in kiwi land. My boss did some of his training in NZ and he loved it. I'd like to go myself one day.

I would never feel bad about living in New Zealand and missing the Utah winters. Good looking pics--enjoy NZ and come back when the weather is a bit more human!
How do you go about catching those fishies?

[cool][#0000ff]You can't fool me. You claim you are down there on official church business, but I know that you are really there for the fishing (again). I hope they understand why you have such a dreamy look on your face while you are engaged in the mundane tasks you must perform, in between the more important fishing trips.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Hope you have a great time and you had better have a REALLY GOOD excuse if you are not able to go fishing with me this year. Actually, there will be NO ACCEPTABLE excuse. [/#0000ff]

[blue]Lloyd; Ya got to know just how bad your tugg'n on my hart !! I spent a couple yrs on the North Island, In your first picture the cost was in the background, Where was you when this pic was taken? I spent 13 months right in the "Fruit Bowl" of N.Z. Hastings, Gisborne, A tad in Wellington too: I must say how I mis the White Sands off of hastings area beach; The Green mountains, with rock cliff's, WOW that N. Island is totaly awsome to say the least. Listen man, enjoy every breath taking sunset you can!! You can't buy one like they have in N.Z. here in Utah!!!!!! Nothing like watching the Glow of the Red sun sink into the Pacific Ocean this time of year: There are NO words that can describe it. If I could, I'd trade you in a minite for a day chasing marble eye, just to stand on a cliff-side watching the ships etc go by. Buddy that country has some rock'n scenry. Also its kind of cool to say you've crossed the International Day-Date line: Been there done that. Feel free to pm me some pics, Good luck in what your doing. Oh ya: Have you chased any Blue, or Black Marlin yet?[/blue]
[#0000ff] I'd love to hear what all you've got to hunt for. Lator Lloyd:[/#0000ff]

Hi Bait Caster!
You are certainly right about the scenery and sunset. I have enclosed a picture of one such sunset. You can travel all over the world and not find a sunset like it. We were on Flat Island--an island about a 45 minute flight from Auckland. I took a group of BYU students to this island. It is owned by one family. Wow! What an experience. The sunset picture comes from there as well. I have also enclosed a picture of the area during the daytime, near the island. The individual who owns the island lives off the land--produces his own electricity, and everything! He fishes for a living.
No luck on the Marling fishing yet. I am trying to let everyone in Auckland know that I am a fanatic fisherman. It is working! Last Saturday I was taken out on a yacht and shown some great fishing areas.
Thanks for the comments.
Lloyd
