Hit Strawberry on 02/10 and EC 02/13.We fished the Ladders area via snowmobile out by the island.It was slow to say the least.Between five of us we iced 7 cutts all nice size.We used minnows,mealies and waxies on a variety of jigs and iceflies.Best seemed to be minnows on a glow tube jig.It was cold when we arrived at 0730....-9 balmy degrees.We spent the night at the lodge and when we left Sat AM my truck read -20.The berry will be iced for awhile with those temps.As far as EC goes it was totally dead.We moved all over the south end of the lake and read NO fish on the finder.Caught one fish when he happened to wander into the kill zone.One suicidal fish all day.Anybody else find EC turning dead ? It was a beautiful day anyway.Played hooky from work.Last minute birthday gift to myself!!

We hit EC Saturday, and while slow, I wouldn't call it dead yet. Perhaps on the critical list, though!
What we found was very few fish moving, and they tended to be more reactive to a still presentation than something moving. So I'd slow down the jigging when a fish would mark on the finder, and wait for them to be the aggressor. Otherwise, they were gone!
