Hyrum fishing and ice conditions

I spent most of the morning at home but it was such a beautiful day I finally grabbed my gear an headed to Hyrum. I got there at about 1:00 PM and by the time I got to my spot and set things up and started to fish it was 1:30. I knew I had missed the best fishing of the day but I caught my first bow about 15 min after I started fishing. That was it! I had lots more bites and broke one off (rotten line) but did not catch anything else. Most of the folks around me were heading out within an hour of when I arrived and after I caught mine, I only saw two other fish caught. I left at about 5:45 PM. It was a great day to be out doing some fishing. The ice is still great except a little slush here and there otherwise thing are holding up nice. The edges were okay as well.

Thanks for the report KJFN! Trying to decide if I'll hit Hyrum sometime soon..maybe this coming week.

lavaman, some of the folks today were saying that the fishing was much slower than it was last weekend and especially later in the afternoon/early evening. I think if you got there early in the AM you may do just fine.
