If that's pretty TubeN2, i'd hate to see your version of ugly.[sly] Was that dog food or bait? I actually tried grilled stingray before, it wasn't too bad, just difficult to get the blood out. I guess that's what makes them such good shark bait. I think sting ray is like shark Snickers Bar or something. [

That one is actually a Bat Ray. It is in the same family as the sting ray but the stinger is located on the base of the tail instead of the tip.
That one is a 75lb Bat Ray. On the West coast, we call them Mud Marlin. They eat stuff out of the mud and they will take from 200 to 400yds of line before you can turn them. On occasion they will break the surface but they will generally stay at deep color until you reach down with the gaff.[cool] [signature]

We have those same dogs around here. About the time you hook one, strait to the bottom they go. You have to keep constant pressure on them, and when they decide to have a go, crank like heck. The most popular around here is the Atlantic Clear Nosed Skate. Those things can become a pain in the butt.

To me there's nothing prettier than a snook... like in my pic to the left.
