Hows the ice on Jordanelle holding up ? I havent been on the ice this year and wasnt going to. But To many skunks so far, I need something other than a dead minnow and a strong wind tuggin on my line.

[cool]I heard that the ice is starting to pull away from the shore around the Hailstone area with this weeks warm temps, but Rock Cliffs might still be o.k. if you have a plank to get out there. Don't know for sure about Rock Cliff Though...

Fished Rockcliff yesterday. I got on, but the ice by the ramp is getting pretty chewed up. Once I was on, the ice was fine. The top layer of compressed snow was a little mushy, but there is plenty of good ice underneath. Did ok for trout, but didn't find any perch.

I'll probably go up again tomorrow(Sat) morning. Getting on the ice will be the trick...

The holes I drilled had at least 10 inches of solid clear ice under 3-4 inches of the soft stuff.

Small jig tipped with meal worm or crawler. Didn't seem to matter yesterday. I'll watch for you. I don't have any stickers or patches. I'll be dragging a small sled and sitting on a bucket. Sorry, that probably doesn't help much...

If I changed my address to Jordanelle I would be bothered with mail!
Can't have that now can I? Ice days are numbered. I'm just trying to get in as manay as I can. Then it's flyfishing in Wyo. and perhaps some cat fishing at UL!

PS Pikeman has me beat on Jordanelle; he's always there!

PSS My real goal is to fish as many days per year as you do Kent![Wink]

[black]Now you are talking. As far as fishing as many days as I do I think you already have a running start on 2006.[/black]
