I am getting some conflicting reports guys, hopefully you
can help.Is there any open water around cemetary point
at Pineview that would allow us to fish from shore? Taking
a scout troop, so I could use any info asap I would hate
to get them all up there and it be completley frozen over.

Went up there last Monday to check it out and it was frozen everywahere except about a foot of open water right by the shore. Don't know if it has changed but don't think you will be fishing there anytime soon. If anyone has a current update let us know!

I was up there yesterday. The main lake is open. The bays ar 50% open or better and the ice is melting fast.

Went to Pineview Sunday April 9th and most of the ice along much of the shore has melted. There is virtually no ice on the South East side and its clear along the shore in most of Cemetary point but the gate was closed where you would normally pay to get in. The beach at Cemetary point is clear. I fished all over the south side and South East side that day and only caught a buzz, LOL. I used worms, power bait, rapallas, kastmasters and some jigs, I got two bites but no hooks. I might go back in a month, but its Utah lake this weekend.
