The fishing is picking up
#1
I got home from work yesterday and got a phone call from the father in law. It seems the fishing is finally starting to pick up. He was at a little place called "Ladders Lake" that feeds off of the big Pee Dee River. They caught a bunch of Crappie and a few bream off of beetle spins. The bream still haven't quite worked their way to the shallows yet, so bobber fishing with crickets or wax worms hasn't been very productive. I'd give it a couple weeks if the weather stays warm. It's suppose to be near 90 degrees this Easter weekend.

I know the bream have been hard going, but it looks like things are comming around. The water temp in the river is right around a 63 degree surface temp. The ocean is still hanging around 60 degrees or so inshore.
