[cool][#0000ff]The current weather forecast doesn't look too good for Deer Creek. If you still plan to go, I would suggest one of two places. First would be Walsburg Bay. You can park in the non-pay spot to the east of the main State Park and walk down to the water, where there is usually some protection from wind.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The second suggestion would be the island. Depending on the wind direction you can fish either side of the island/peninsula. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Fishing from shore is usually decent from both places.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]Drove by Deer Creek today. FLASH...the island is an island again. No shore fishing from it unless you wanna swim first.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Saw people fishing at the Charleston park, but did not stop to check results. Also saw quite a few people fishing in the Rainbow Bay area and also at Walsburg. Again, did not stop to check results. Water is getting higher but the park at Walsburg is still closed.[/#0000ff]
