American Bass
#1
Hey all. I've been a long time lurker on these boards. I don't think I've ever posted. I think I am okay posting this information, but it is pretty much a pure promotional post. If I'm not supposed to, please yank this message.

For any of you who have an interest in bass tournament fishing, I am the region director for the new "Rocky Mountain" Region of American Bass. There are six tournaments for the region. Participation in a series of tournaments allows you, if you do well enough, to fish one of three American Bass Divisional Classic (for a boat and cash prizes). My region fits under the Northwest Division. See the rules and such for details on all this.

There is more information available at www.americanbass.com (check the Rocky Mountain Region) and I put together a info/blog site at aba-rockymtn.blogspot.com. The tourneys are held at the closest, sizeable, tournament friendly lakes I could come up with for the area: Milner (Burley, ID) and Flaming Gorge.

I'd love to see some BFT and wasatch area participation and I'm trying to get the word out. I plan to contact the Utah Bass Federation as well. If you are interested, I've got forms and flyers I can email. Just PM me.

Side note, I love wiper fishing and I sure wish I was going to be in town for the 2006 Wiper Contest. Sounds awesome!

[cool][#0000ff]Welcome aboard. Took you long enough to graduate from lurker. No problem with the self promotion. I'm sure there will be some interest from BFTers. All we ask is that when you post links that they not be for other websites that have user forums, etc.[/#0000ff]

Yes. The lakes and dates are all firm. I have official approval and I'm grateful to the ID and WY game & fish and Forest Service for their help in that regard.

Another feature of these tourneys I like to tout is that I have arranged for a weighmaster to assist with the tourneys, Kent Thomson. He owns cache custom lures and runs team bass cache valley. He has a lot of experience with bass tourneys. I'm really excited to have him because he knows what he is doing and he puts on a great tourney.

We have a good number of teams committed already, but I figure the more the merrier so I'm putting the word out in more places...

I'm happy to provide any other info you need.

Also, TubeDude, none of the links I put in my last post are to forums. Thanks for the heads up on that.
