i just hit strawberry with my dad. it was our first time out together since i have been home from my mission. we started out fishing very little open water in Bryants fork. my dad caught one and had one break off 8 pound test. we were fishing white jigs. after that a huge storm blew in bringing hail rain and i think a little snow. it also brought heavy winds and white caps on the berry. we sat it out chucking some chese and my dad caught one more on power bait. after the storm blew over we headed over on the soldier creek side and started fishing white tubes and green tubes. i still had not cuaght a fish until about 6 pm and then i caught 5 from about 6 to 8:30. so fishing picked up but it was not hot. i have done very well up there at ice off and today it was a little dificult. we talked to other fishermen and from what we heard no one else was having any luck. i caught two cuttroats that had 6 inch chubs in their mouths. it was amazing. had one big fish on in the shallows that swirled and got off. there were plenty of guys who were launching their boats from the soldier creek side but i did not hear of much success. in total i caught five all on jigs and my dad cuaght 6 and 4 of those were on jigs. i am very certain that the storm spooked the fish becuase the waves were big and the water nasty.
