[cool]And they didn't even have PVC back then. Wow!
That's a pretty grizzly guy onboard though.

I was wondering that myself. I think the only ordinance they had back then was round shaped - I think they handn't figured out bullet shapes yet. Looks like a pretty functional design, though - something you could fish out if.

[cool][#0000ff]Strictly amateur. No sonar, no rod racks, no electric motor. No wonder the confederates lost the war.[/#0000ff]

[cool][#0000ff]I didn't fight on either side, so I can't keep the uniforms straight.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Maybe the Union soldiers won because they were the most creative. Any army that has time to go toonin' has got to have it together.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Actually, the principle of the pontoon and outriggers has been around for hundreds of years. Many older cultures used the sewn up hides of animals to serve as floatation and air chambers. Often the ends came to a point, and that design proved to be quite water worthy.[/#0000ff]

You all heard it here first. The North defeated the South because they were better tubers/tooners!

[cool][#0000ff]I suppose that it might have helped that the north had more soldiers, more money, better military armament and better leadership.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Not many people know that history has it wrong. It was not the "Emancipation Proclamation"...it was the "Inflation Nation Proclamation".[/#0000ff]

Don't forget that they had to stand or sit very still for pictures back then so they weren't blurry. Not always the easiest thing to do in a tube, obviosly a very calm day (and an experienced tuber).
Cool Pic.

[black][size 3]Hey TD,[/size][/black]
[black][size 3][/size][/black]
[black][size 3]Is that a photo of you when you lived back east ? Kind of blurry, but I like the facial hair you had back then. Where's the rod ? Or, was that when you just clunked'm in the head with your oar ? Nice looking fish holding structure you found there too. Just how old are you ?[/size][/black]
