Took a buddy out to willard last night to try and get him a wiper. The solunar charts said it was going to be a poor day for fishing and they were right. I boated one wiper and lost another right on the net. My buddy didn't get anything. I ran into Lunkerhunter2 as I was leaving the marina and he said that they had'nt got anything either. We fished along the dike by the feed lot and then out toward the island. Tried staying in the 3.5-4 mph range but when the wind came up it became 2.5-4.5 depending on how you hit the waves. Didn't see any boils, but we did see a couple of schools of 2"-3" shad along side the boat.

You must have been one of the boats trolling in front of me. Sorry it was slow for you.

I fished Willard yesterday morning. I picked up 2 Wipers and one Walleye before I lost the only diving Shadrap that I had. That was the end of catching fish for me. Guess I'll have to get some more diving Rapallas before I fish Willard again.

The guy I took out there has a calendar that has the days listed as poor, fair, good, and excellent and thats going off the charts. I use my GPS it tells me the same thing. I image if you googled the solunar chart you could find it on there.

Yes it sucked! I had 1 hit just outside the bouys and that was it. Not even many on the finder. Water temp was a steady 77 degrees. I think had i got out sooner(other projects) i may have done better and i think the wipers are thicker on the north and east end. Just my 2 cents.

We pulled into the South Marina to launch and turned right back out. What a clusterf___ that place is sometimes! The north ramps weren't to bad, Lots of big party boat pontoons out yesterday though.

I went out last night as well. It was deffinitly the slowest day I've had in about a month and a half. I ended up only catching 3 wipers and 2 catfish. I caught one wiper on my fly rod with a white zonker. The other on a jerk bait and the other trolling a white shad rap. There are plenty of shad swimming, we should start seeing some boils. Has anyone seen any yet?
