Hmmmm, I got an idea...Salem pond.
#1
I wanted to go fishing and my daughter wanted to go swimming and I thought of Leaky, if my wife ever finds out that I got this idea from a dog swimming she'll kill me. This actually worked out pretty good.

It was the best of both worlds and she even released all the fish for me. I caught a big cat that I released and you should have seen the look on her face when I said it was swimming right at her [shocked].

I broke away from the fun and didn't have anyone to take a pic of me so here is the biggest one. I caught 17 bass (mostly dinks) and a 19" channel in 5 hours, not on fire but consistant. ALL BASS WERE RELEASED. I believe that this small pond cannot tolerate catch n' keep of the lmb and I encourage everyone to release the bass. Trout are stocked every spring and the locals did well on green powerbait.

[cool][#0000ff]Looks like you got couple of "keepers". Good report. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I question the inflation on the tube, however. Okay for recreational splashing but too soft for real fishing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Catching bass from Salem Pond is difficult for most folks. Looks like you got 'em dialed in. Most of the people who fish there have the notion that they have to keep all the fish they catch, regardless of species. That makes it tough on bass, since they pretty much have to survive without a lot of stocking.[/#0000ff]

Sparky and I are really glad we could help out. [Smile][Wink] Sparky and I are still doing "or thing" and having a ball. I won't let him help out on the kitties though. [shocked] Our latest adventure was at the Gorge and it was great. I see you had great fishing with the family which is better than anything I can think of. [Smile]
