Teton Trip
#1
Windriver, his son and I floated down the teton yesterday. We started early and ended by noon. Fishing for the most part was decent. It wasn't fast but it wasn't slow either. The best part was watching windriver's son pull out a nice healthy 21inch cutt. He was so excited and the fish definitely fought him hard. I ended up catching quite a few good sized fish anywhere from 12-18 inches. At the last hole windriver hooked into a huge cutt. It was a beauty and fat. It was 23 inches and probably 6 pounds. As windriver was trying to pick the fish up for a picture. The fish did a couple of hard flips and broke the line right when I was about to take the picture so he ended up catching the fish but missing the picture. [blush]

All in all it was a great day. I had a lot of fun fishing. That was the first fishing trip that I had floated a river. It's definitely something that I would like to do more often. Great experience and great company makes for a great fishing trip.

Wow! Some nice fish there guys. What section of the Teton did you float, if you don't mind sharing? I have had the opportunity to float the upper Teton a few times and had a really good time.

We were fishing the lower teton. It gets good when the water drops. Right now the water may be a little too warm. I went out again this past week and the fish were not hittting hard and didn't have much fight in them, it also took longer to revive them. I did have fun and caught a few good ones but I think it may be the end of great fishing on the lower teton for the summer.
