Offshore, Rhode Island
#1
Water Temperature: 68-71.7
Water Clarity: Crystal Clear
Seas: 1 foot tops
Weather: .
Fishing_for: Tuna
Boat: Reel Steal
captain: Capt Jim Davis

Report:
Headed due South toward fishtails on both Friday 8/25 and Saturday 8/26. Both days weather was great and seas cooperated. Actually, Saturday was a little too calm. Friday only 1 knockdown about 15 miles North of the Tails. Not much life seen this day. Saturday, went to within 4 miles of the tails and as sson as we hit 71 degree water, all four rigs got hit. Boated 2 albacore and lost the other. This was a 3 person charter so we were a little short handed. The day was quite productive as far as tuna, and we saw many sharks, sunfish, a couple of turtles and watched a giant leap out on the way back in to Watch Hill, about 25 miles offshore of Montauk. Put 180 miles on the boat, but it was well worth the trip.

Sounds like you had a great trip mikepeter451, and welcome to the BFT message boards!

Don't forget about the Rhode Island state message board, they'd love to have some up-to-date fishing reports from some of their local anglers. Also, if you took a charter, we'd love to have your inputs on the Charter and Guide review board.

Welcome once again! If you ever have any questions or concerns, i'm but a Private Message away! Enjoy and good fishing!

Bryan
