We got off work early and got to the lake at three. Buddy found straps from the travel bags and used it to haul his tube on his back hands free. Neat idea and I was kinda amazed that he thought of it that way. I told him I was going to find something for mine too as it's a little heavier than his tube.
Watched my buddy gets his fins on and fish it into the tube as TubeDude says it's the wrong way. I just dropped the fins and put the tube on it and sat on the tube then put them on and stand up and left the tube up and walked backwards....Hey that was a lot easier! I will tell my buddy about what we did wrong and right Monday at work.
Very light winds steady all afternoon going one way. Flippers really makes fishing a piece of cake! Lucky for us no one was shore fishing on that spot at that lake so we had it all for ourselves. I was using the gold two inch Rapala and caught 31 bass from eight inches to 15 inches and three bluegills. Buddy got 12 bass and one bluegill. He used the countdown one and I used the floating one. Cast as close to the shore and let it sit a sec and jerk the lure a little and wait. They would blast it right there or when I reel it back. Lost a few good strikes.
Got home at 9:45 PM and opened up the Internet and spot a tick walking up half way on my leg! Darn I hate ticks and this is the second one today, one at the lake and one right here. Now I gotta go get myself checked before my wife starts kicking me for bringing one home.....
