Tuna Trip
#1
I had the pleasure of going on a Tuna trip lastweek out Newport Oregon with a great guide. The morning started at 6AM and did not end until 8 PM. We put 10 in the boat and also 5 limits of crabs. At one point we were 68 miles offshore and we burned a total of 178 gallons of diesel. Fun trip and would do it again in a heartbeat. If you have ever wanted to go Tuna fishing now is the time. Let me know and I'll hook you up with our guide.

Here are a couple pics.

Nice report. Gotta love that Oregonian fishing! I heard Newport and Bandon both had killer days on Tuna last week. That just confirms it. 68 miles is kinda rough, though. Their at 35 farther south. I'm gonna be up there doin a tuna/halibut combo trip over Labor day out of Bandon. I've heard them tuna fight like dirty buggers! Great eating, too.
