A great reminder for everyone to NEVER go fishing without polarized glasses on, or at least some kind of glasses to protect your eyes. I've had two pairs of glasses broken by lures and jigs with hooks flying into my eyes in my career. I've had countless flies bounce off my glasses. You only have two eyes, and both are handy, so COVER YOUR EYES GUYS and GALS!!!

Thats the biggest catch i have seen on a jakes, does it still qualify as a record even though he was foul hooked?
All kidding aside, i hope that the kid will be ok, and that his sight will be fine, that is a scarry accident [signature]

All i can say is "watch what the hell you're doing"!! A good example is when you get a tiger musky or any fish for that matter close to landing, always take it to either side of you. I have had alot of close calls with tigers letting go of big nasty lures and they come flying by at mach 10!

Whooo Lord, & I thought getting two hooks from the treble on a Jakes in my finger hurt. Just looking at those pictures was painful.

I have a friend who last summer got a spinner caught in the branches of a tree up Diamond Fork. He pulled on it to get it free and it stuck in his eye when it came loose. He can see OK, but they had to remove the lens in his eye and replace it with a plastic one like they do for cataract surgery. His was real lucky he did'nt lose his sight in that eye.
