Yuba sunday 10-1

Had a friend that wanted to catch a fish so i took him to yuba for some perchies.When we got there the wind was blowing bad!![] So we decided to wait and see if the wind died down a little so we could launch the boat.When the sun came out about 10 minutes later the wind got calm so we launched.We trolled for an hour and the wind started blowing hard again so trolling became a joke!![] So i decided to hide from the wind in some areas that i know hold fish.That plan went down the toilet the wind found us .Everytime i moved the wind would follow us what a pain!![pirate] So i decided to hit one of the coves to try and escape the wind.When we got there i marked fish all over the place!So i anchored up and we started fishing.Man you couldnt let a bait hit halfway down when it got whacked!It was perch everywhere !!!My friend finally got to break the skunk smell of him.We caught so many perch between 8-13 inches we lost track after a while.The perch assasinator(bruce) scored the biggest one at 13 inches.He finally got tired of fishing after a hour of catching perch.Samantha even used carp meat that i got from TD and theperch were gobbling that up too.I never did stop marking fish when i left.

Nice fish! I've been hitting Yuba a couple of times a week for about an hour each time, hoping to catch the big trout when they move in. The perch are really thick. The last time I was there I was losing my grub tails after about 10 minutes. I finally just stopped changing grubs, it didn't seem to matter much.

I dont think you are going to see many big trout this year.The perch have just about ate all the fatheads that the big rainbows were munching on last year.Perch are everywhere on yuba and out of control!!![] Its a lot of fun catching them on all kinds of jigs .
