[cool][#0000ff]You can successfully battle and subdue large fish from tubes and toons, but it is tough from a small tube. You just don't have the "lift" to muscle a big fish. About the only way to whup bigguns is to keep some distance between you and make them pull you around, rather than letting them get under you and trying to dredge them back up. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Really big fish, like big salmon, stripers, sturgeon and cats are best landed by kicking in to shore and dragging the fish in from there. You have a better fighting platform when your feet are planted.[/#0000ff]
