Fish Finder
#1
If you had $500 and could buy any fishfinder, which fish finder would you buy?

Should have mentioned: for use with a Tracker Deep V17 boat all over Utah.

For use with a boat? Portable? Ice fishing too?

Lowrance LCX-20, LMS series, X-series mentioned above, etc. The X-135 is the best deal out there, and less than $500! Plenty of power, enough screen, and dependable. The LCX and LMS series have GPS possibilities too, for a couple hundred bucks more. Just buy the best Lowrance you can afford, and be sure to have at least 3000 watts power.

The quality and performance of all Lowrances is going up, while the prices of all of 'em are gong down. Its a buyers market, and great time to upgrade, as I'm now doing (LCX-25 at $700).

I'm getting ready to sell a nice little X-85 with two transducers and transducer switches in a couple weeks that's been working for me for years. PM me if interested. Possibly a Globalmap 3300 gps as well (Gorge waypoints negotiable!).

I'd get the Lowrance LMS-480 Sonar/GPS with Dual Frequency...I have the 337 (the color version) and it's awesome. The 480's on sale at Cabelas for $549
