I a agree with everything fence kid says and I am also thankful for the wonderful family I have, 7 kidos, and the fantastic companion I have, also the chance I have to live in this wonderful state and county. I am also thankful for more things than I can mention but I am not real good at this chicken pecken stuff on the computer. The smoked turkey will be delicious today. U guys have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING, and dont forget to pray for ice.

I agree with all that you have all said. We often don't realize how great we have it here. I lived in Bolivia in South America for two years and times I feel I have it rough some memories of the poverty and terrible living conditions I saw there will come back and hit me. Then I feel gratitude for what I have and I realize that it can always be worse. When my son Nathan was born he had a birth defect and didn't have feet. His left leg ends where the ankle should be and the right leg ends at the knee. He is twenty nine and does good on prosthetic legs now. We would take him to Shriners Hospital in Salt Lake to the amputee clinic to have his legs fitted and checked every few months. Invariably I would see another child there who lacked less limbs and was worse off that him. The one that still chokes me up the most was a boy about sixteen that had no legs below his pelvis. When he left the clinic he put on a coat because it was winter, slid each hand into a shoe, put his hands on the floor, and walked out the door on his hands. I too am thankful for a family and their love. Acey

The Methodist Church My wife & I attend in West Jordan volunteers one Monday a month to provide sandwiches and help serve soup & sandwiches at the St. Vincent De Paul Mission in downtown Salt Lake City. My wife & I have gone down there to help several times. Doing that sure helps put things in perspective. I'm thankful for the bounty the Lord has given me. I am also thankful to live in a country where there are caring people that will reach out & help those that are having a rough time whether it is of their own making or not.
