well, i am quite the noob as far as fishing, and i am trying to find out how to fish bear lake, in utah. i know what there is to catch, but i need to know what to use. My family owns property up there on the west side in Garden City, so that is where i would most likely fish, or at least near there. Is the marina good for fishing? How? i could even jig near where our property is, in our pedal boat.....(lol). Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, i would not go up there until at least march, so dont think i would go ice fishing or anything. THaNKs!!!!

[black]You should mosey over to the Utah board. There are a LOT of folks there that fish Bear Lake and can tell you every thing you want to know about it. I'm from Utah, but I only fish up there once in a while (it's quite a ways from where I am) for Macs when I can get my boat up there or hitch a ride in some one elses. [/black]

[black]OK try this, on the top of your screen, there is a biege bar. One of the options on the top left says "Main Index" Click on that. Then scroll down - way down and you will see a bunch of state boards go past. When you hit the Utah one, click on that. You should be there. If not, come back and we will figure out what is going on.[/black]

Also, when you get there, be sure to check out the Bear Lake archive section.

1st off welcome to the board. As for what to use at bear lake; try to find some lucky horse shoes or rabbit's feet somewhere and buy a case of them. J.K, it is a very different place to fish. It can be very fun and also very frustrating. Just do a bit of reading on the archive section and pick what species you want to target and then you can figure out where to go and when. I'm definately no pro on the bear, but I usually jig for cutts and macks from the ice or in a boat.
