Roberts Gravel Pond
#1
My Son and I fished Roberts last night and did very well! The fishing is very fast and it seems like nothing will put a dent into the perch population. Honestly my best method was jigging slightly with no bait, and setting my pole down and within ten seconds I usually had a bite. Perch are still around 5 inches, but I did pull out a ten inch perch; the largest I have ever pulled out of Roberts. An added bonus this year is Banana Trout; I thought they only planted these at Sand Creek, but they are all over in Roberts. It is fun to watch the yellow flashes go bye. The ice is about six inches and bring a plastic bag you will need it. If you have a little one Roberts is one of the best kid friendly places to fish and they will have success. I will be deep frying perch tonight.

Sounds Fun. I will not be able to ice fish for two straight weeks. I am coaching wrestling way too much before Christmas. I hope to get out during Christmas break and catch some fish.

Keep up the good reports.

Thanks for the report. I might have to give Roberts and Gem Lake a try this Saturday.
