I am out in the Unitah Basin for the week and want to take the kids fishing tomorrow. I thought about going down to Pelican but wasn't sure on any recent reports. If there are other places that are better please let me know.
Thanks,

[cool]Hey, been off the board for a few days, so I just saw this thread. Fishingwaters, FWJr., CBR, and BassAckward and I hit Pelican yesterday the 26th from about 7:30 a.m. til about 1:30. We arrived to a blustery 5 degrees and AWESOME fishing!! We all caught around 30 or so fish a piece, all bluegills except for only one largemouth caught by Mike. We had a few nice gils on the ice, with my best going at about 10 inches. I'd say the average one was about 7 inchs and as big or bigger around than my hand. Had a great time fishing with those guys, and at that lake. Now I know what all the fuss is about with Pelican and why these guys drive the 3.5 hours there and back once or twice a year for. Pelican ROCKS!

Hit Pelican yesterday and it was really slow fishing. I don't know if I was fishing in the wrong place or what but I did manage one 15" bass and I missed two other bites. I think that I might go down there again today.

[cool]Oh yeah, forgot to mention that most of Starvation had a thin layer of ice, with some of the smaller bays on the way back looking maybe ice-fishable...
