PINEVIEW 29 Dec. 06
#1
A friend and I hit Pineview today and had a great day of fishing. I ended up with 1/2 doz. Crappie that went from 10 to 11 1/2 inches and a half doz. 9 to 10 inch perch, my friend's total was about the same. The Ice is 4 to 5 inches thick and clear. My buddy had a Musky to the hole that we figure may have pushed 38 to 40 inches, we could see his size as he lay stretched out under the ice. I guess he got nervous when he saw all the people gathered around staring at him and swapped ends and broke the 4 lb. test line. We would have released him anyway but it would have been nice to have gotten a tape on him. We were fishing the Narrows near the dam in 53 feet of water and caught everything on the bottom with Kastmasters tipped with either waxies, perch meat, or night crawler pieces. We left about 1:30 and there were probably 25 people on the ice fishing both shore lines. I'll be there in the A.M. tomorrow. [cool]

Nice to hear it is frozen over now. Too bad you couldn't nail that musky! Would have made for some great pics.

Way to go Pete! I kind of figured the tigers out a couple years ago(I think?), but it is a very frusterating day of fishing to say the least. Nice job on the crappies too. Did the tiger put up any fight? Usually they just give up after they are hooked while ice fishing.
