Took a trip to otter creek today, thought about going to the berry but I knew the whole State would be there. It was well worth the drive. We got there about 9ish and fished until 3pm.We used white and pink jigs tipped with wax worms and meal worms. It was my son's second trip ice fishnig and he had a blast,I taught him how to let his jigs down and then set the bobber at the right depth. He landed 3 fish all by himself while a proud Papa watched from the ice shack. We caught over 20 rainbows and cutts rangeing 16"-20" 2-3lbs.Very fat (footballs) and boy did they hit hard and the fight in them was awsome.I had a few more get off at the hole and snap my line and cut me off on the ice hole. The fishing was best between 10am -1:30.It was nice and warm up there today no wind and plenty of sun.The Ice is about 12" with 3-4 inches of snow with a few snow drifts here and there. We fished in 12ft of water and marked fish all day.It was a fun trip and watching my son have a blast.
