Mud Creek Ice
#1
I know the fishing has been slow at Mud Creek, but I'm curious how far anyone has ventured out towards the main body of water? If you know Mud Creek, 2 small points on the North side are near the mouth of the Bay. A couple of weeks ago the ice ended by the first point on the north side of the bay. Anyone been out further since? How's the ice? Looking to take the snowmobile and some co-workers on Tues. and trying to decide where to take them. They will want thick ice (meaning 6"+) and again, would like the sled too. Thanks for any info-

A week ago Saturday, there were people clear out to the tip of the bay. They did ride the snowmobiles on the shore and then walked out there. I didn't get to talk with any of them to see how thick the ice was.

When i was out there i talked to a couple of people who walked out there and they told me there was between 4-5 inches so my guess is with all this cold there is probly 6 inches

I was at Mud Creek today. Ice is 8-10" but the mouth of the bay either had thin ice or no ice. No one travelled past the "dark area" at the mouth. I went about halfway into the bay on the N. side. Iced 7 cutts 18-21" lost 3 at the hole. Around 12:00 the catching just stopped.
