Fished LBH yesterday. Ice was 7-8 inches thick and very sound inside the bay. The main lake looked very eiffy with all the pressure ridges and piled ice. The fishing was not real hot, but I managed 8 Whites and a 9 Inch perch. Most fish were caught on a small ice jig tipped with a Power Bait Maggot. I was fishing from about 7:30 - 10:30 Am.

I just got back from LBH.. I fished this morning from 0930 until about 1230... the first hour I didnt catch anything.. I kept moving around and finally found them... there was a boy scout group out there that had caught 8 or 9 earlier and then it died.. i caught them on crippled herring and sonar jigs.. the ice is real noisy but a solid 6 to 8 inches...

Thanks. Need to run down to Salem and get my dad's auger, then head back up and get out on the ice. I am a first timer through the hard deck, but LBH is only about 5 minutes from my front door and I need to take advantage. Do they lock the bathrooms down there in the winter and do you have to pay?

They do charge 5 dollars if you drive in or 2 dollars if you walk in. The bathrooms are open for you use.
