Thanks to a good old government holiday, I was able to go fishing today. Took my son, brother and a friend out by the boat ramp. Fishing was fair to good. We ended up catching around 20 between the 4 of us, but 2 of us caught the majority of them. 4 or 5 around 16" and the rest just planters, nothing like last year. Nothing seemed to be dynamite today but I did manage a couple on my pink petty jigs. Fished in 40 feet of water with most of the hook ups coming in around 30 feet. There were a ton of people there today, but by 11:30 most everyone was gone. Most people moved around alot so I guess the fishing was slow everywhere. Very cold first thing in the morning, but warmed up a little by noon. No photos, left the camera home.

I've used those petty pink jigs, they are worthless![laugh] That's probably the only two fish you'll catch with them.[] I ended up burning mine in an effort to appease the Fish Gods...good thing too, because I caught fish the next time out![cool]
