[cool]Hey, I logged on here Tuesday and noticed that there wasn't one single report from Jordanelle. When I drove by it just before dark on Monday I noticed that the ice in Rock Cliffs extends now all the way out to where it enters the main lake. Anybody know if it's safe (i.e. did you or any non-BFT friends fish it this past weekend?) I can't get out this Saturday, but plan to the following week (may even call in sick to do it too during a week day). Please advise...

I went up there today. I fished out by the low water markers in 30 ft of water on 6 inches of ice. There was good but slow action untill noon then I quit graphing fish. Most of the fish I graphed were right on the bottom with a few coming in between 12-18 ft. I would have moved but I kicked my ice scooper into one of my holes. The whole lake appears to be frozen as well as Deer Creek. All I caught were 14 inch rainbows, kept one threw the others back.

Out4aFloat and I hit it last night. Ice was pretty good until it got dark. We fished 23ft of water but found up to 29ft of water. Probably could have walked farther towards the lake but didn't. Read my report as to why I'm glad we didn't go any farther now.

Here is a report for you: Fished it on Monday with the kids. We caught a few fish and my son put his feet in an ice hole. Ice shelters and heaters are good to have, as are friends who will loan you theirs. Another thing to report: as long as the sun is out and the wind is calm, the cold aint that bad. Oh yeah, meal worms catch fish when they are hungry for them.

[cool]Randy, see the Pelican thread. Froze my "salmon eggs" off out there with -27 temps. Fishing wasn't bad though... Haven't been on Craigs site much lately, so that's probably why you haven't seen reports from me...
