Any one know where to access the river? Do you enter from Arrowrock or Mountain home or either direction. I will be passing through the 2nd feb and might squeeze in a couple hrs if possible. Looks like a nice river.

Mountain Home to Anderson Ranch Dam is the only way I've ever been. I would think Arrowrock would be more of a pain to drive.

The Arrowrock route (I'm assuming you mean via Black's Creek) might be pretty dicey this time of year. The Cow Creek road is probably just as bad. Best bet is to go to the Anderson Ranch dam turnoff on the way to Fairfield and cross the dam, then down the river. Watch out for ice on the hill going down to the dam - it doesn't get much sunshine in the winter. I've driven down it when it had snow on it and just needed to take it slow and easy.

Here's a link that always includes at least a general report on the boise: http://www.idahofishnhunt.com/swidrpt.htm

I'm happy to give you an email via pm, if you're interested I can get the low down from my friend here who is a dedicated fly fisherman (one of those purist types like I used to be [Tongue]) and has lived here and fished the boise for about 15 years. He knows the area quite well and probably what arsenal might be best. If you've already got the lowdown, excuse the offer [cool]
