We just spent the weekend down at fish lake. It was pretty slow for perch. We pulled up mostly rainbows and splake. We only pulled in one perch all weekend at Mill Meadow. But, the fishing overall at fish lake was incredible. If youre not totally bent on perch, fish lake is where its at right now.

I was there this last weekend and caught a bunch of perch just off the weedline on the north side in 15 feet of water. The perch I caught were between 6-10 inchers and were a lot of fun. I had a Aqua-vu camera and I could see that the perch didn't venture too far from the bottom for your jig. So only bring your jig a couple inches off the bottom and you'll catch more. I could have easily caught over 100 perch each day if I wanted but I also went out for trout a little deeper. Overall Fish Lake's perch fishing is great for the kids plus you catch an ocasiaonal splake or bow intermittantly throughout the day in the perch holes. I even saw about a 10 pound Laker snooping around while I was catching perch, so even they come in to the shallow weedlines from time to time.
