Best Lure I've ever used
#1
Last year I was having the worst fishing slump of my life. Went out to various lakes, rivers and ponds in Maryland for 2 months strait and not a single bass from April to June.

I was browsing the Bass Pro superstore in Hanover Maryland and came across this rack of lures. First impression was "damn those are expensive" $15 a pop and higher for these. Their LuckyCraft Lures. I took a chance and bought a black arura Pointer SP 62. Figured there's gotta be some reason they cost that much.

I took it out to the Magothy River in PaSadena Maryland at a place called beachwood park and first cast, First time for this lure in the water, I landed a 26" Striped bass. Second cast ever for the lure landed me a 24" Striped bass. I actually had to pack up and leave, I hit the creel limit in 2 casts. Went back the next day and didn't quite hit anything on the first 2 casts this time but I wasn't there for 30 minutes before the first strike. I ended up with a mess of Chain Pickeral ranging from 20-30" that day. Everytime I go out with this thing I get something. What really supprised me was that I also regularly get Catfish on the lure too. Untill last year I had NEVER caught a catfish on an artificial lure. I nailed a mess of smallmouth on the lure in West Virginia ponds as well.

Over the corse of the summer I ended up replaceing the lure 3 times due to line snaps. One snap to a giant tiger muskie in Centenial Lake. Annother to a massive Striper on the Magothy and the third to a snag. I have to say that loosing a $15 lure to a snap is heartbreaking but the fish production otherwise is more then enough to make up for it.

I've never been one to advocate the "Magic Lure" myth but i gotta say this thing has been flatout the most productive lure I've ever owned.

Anyone else have experiences with Luckycraft?

Mmm, sounds like a pretty nifty lure. I might just have to pick one up to see what all the ruckus is about. Thanks for sharing!

I've used them for a couple of years now. Mostly for lgmouth bass and I will always have a couple in the box. They are a good lure.

You are right, those Lucky Craft cranks are good baits, but very expensive!
If you are looking for soft plastics then pic up some Maniac Custom Lures, we have curl tail grubs, Minnows, salt sticks, great drop shot worms, and the best Reapers on the market, called Cut'r Bug.
If your after trout or panfish then give the Ice Cut'r Bug's a try on a small jig head thier deadly!
