ThePennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) has re-opened its FrankfordArsenal Access Area in Philadelphia County. The site had been closed for the winter since late fall.
On a temporary basis, Frankford Arsenal will be open for public fishing and boating use from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.The PFBC anticipates resuming normal hours of operation sometime in early spring, depending on the weather.
ThePFBC manages some 300 properties to provide free boat launch and/or fishing opportunities on the waters of the Commonwealth. The Frankford ArsenalAccess is one of the most popular public recreational fishing and boating sites on the lower Delaware River.
