Got a report that the ice is no longer safe at Fish Lake, so headed for Huntington Reservoir instead. Does anyone have any recent slush conditions (I am confident that the ice is still safe)? Also, room for one or perhaps two more in the Suburban if anyone is interested in joining us.

we were at huntington on the 17th. There was no slush then. You might check out post for that day. Lots of fish. The snow and ice were deep enought to put the auger handel on the ground in order to finally break through the ice. Good luck.

Yep I read that great report. You mentioned fishing shallow. Please define shallow?

We were fishing just off the dam in 10 to 15 feet of water. Take some chub minows or shinners. We did catch a few dead sticking them.
