I am now a proud owner of a float tube. Smile Bought it from a member on here and am having my maiden voyage on a local honey hole this afternoon.

[cool]Just found out I got tomorrow (Friday) off. I think I might go tubing somewhere, even though my transducer is screwed up, I think I'm gonna go out anyway. Just not sure where yet. I wanted to hit Utah Lake, but I'm worried that this low pressure system might have really slowed the fishies up for a few days. What do you guys think? Maybe this crappy weather will actually get the Walleye's more active? Might head to Lindon or L.B.

[cool]Thanks for the tips. I think I'm gonna go check the wind forcrash for tomorrow before I decide to go out there or not. I may just stick around town and unpack my new apartment, but was thinking of going out to unload some stress. Hopefully the whities and cats might still bite a little if their's no North wind in the forcast...

Good luck Tuesday...

[black]Don't let the weather make your fishing choices. I know that the rule of thumb is that high and low presures make or break fishing, but from my own experiences, I have found that that is not always true. I have caught walleye before, after and during highs and lows. My favorite and most productive time is during a period of overcast weather, and I have fished harder during the period of time when I have seen ducks pairing up, ready to nest.[/black]

My own rule of thumb for fishing or golf, is go anyway. Using that rule, I have had very good days on the water and the course.

good luck

[cool][#0000ff]You can get in trouble fishing on some golf courses.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]You are right. The best time to go fishing is whenever you can get away. I have missed out on some good trips by being influenced by weather reports. And, I have had some great trips by going anyway.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]The fish don't read the forecasts and they don't watch TV.[/#0000ff]

[cool]The wind forcrash actually looks decent for tomorrow:
http://wwwa.accuweather.com/...0&hbhday=2&hbhhour=6

3mph wind from the ESE. Sounds decent to me. I'm gonna go hit The Knolls for my first time. Looking forward to it. Even if the catching is slow, it will be good to get out, get some fresh air, and get my mind off of the recent hell I've had to deal with while casting plastics for whities/wallies and dragging bait for the big K's... If anybody wants to join me, send a p.m. I'll probably be getting there around 7-7:30-ish. Won't have my radios this time as they are packed away somewhere but my cell is 673-3748 and I'll have it with me...
