ASA is working with other members of the conservation community to ensure that the 2007 Farm Bill contains additional funds for fisheries. ASA staff has attended many meetings, most recently at the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference, to find consensus positions on new and existing programs. One point of agreement is that wherever "wildlife" is cited in the Bill, the term be changed to "fish and wildlife."
