lake mead 5/26

ya, so i decided to brave the crazy crouds and hit the lake early saturday morning. got to the water right before the sun came up out at stewarts point. the water was super choppy and rough despite low winds and no boats zooming around yet, made it very difficult. caught a small catfish, which is usually good luck for me on trips to start out with, and then nothing for quite some time. pulled in one striper a bit later, about 1 1/5 lbs that fought really nice. and thats it. 4-5 hours, 2 fish. no shad around, which i think is part of the problem. last year at this time there were tons up in the overton arm and we were pullin stripers in on almost every cast.

so whats a shore fisherman to do? wheres the good spot this season on the NV side?
