The Pig Report 6-15
#1
Fished porcupine today with Packfan, Packfan1 and MrCrestliner. Man that was a full boat, used sling blades trailed by humdingers and Cripplures in verous colors and caught a bunch of kokes (never kept track or #'s) the rest of the crew was using triple teasers and doing quite well on them. saw wh2 & ws1 out there also looked like they where catching fish to. had a good time and hope to fish with this bunch of guys again [Wink]

Thanks for the kind words P4L, the crew just finished filleting The fish and we all say it was a great day. We enjoyed the company and the quietness on the lake, I just wish the kokes ran a little larger, the larger ones have to be lurking in the depths. The wife and I may try there or Willard Sunday. Good luck on your journey tomorrow.[cool]

I know that was a big boat you were in today but it sure was amazing to see that many folks in one boat[Wink]. By the way Jason, thanks for letting me know the water was "cool to the touch" today, LOL. See you in the AM.
Pete, it was good seeing you today, that is a very nice boat you have there.

Just curious, is the meat from the kokes oily like atlantic salmon? I smoke salmon often and avoid the farm raised fish but if I could catch my own that would be neat. Also, how is the koke fishing at FG this time of year.

Thanks for the compliment WH2, mom and I are still paying for it. She wants to go tomorrow as she hasn't been on the water since the hard water left, not sure if we should go back to Porcupine or try Willard, maybe I'll do some lurking this evening and see if any one posts some good fish reports for today.[Smile]

I have never fished the pig before, sounds like a great place to beat the heat on wensday. My only question is how to get there from slc.

Sounds like another great day on the pig. Did you use the Dipsy at all?

Brandon, we were fishing near them all day and I never saw him using the Dipsy's, but I guess I should not answer his question for him[blush]

This was my first time this year since the hardwater, I've had too much on my plate this spring to make it out much. I'm turning my attention more to the up coming hunting season searching for a bull moose. I may make another trip up to Porcupine but not sure. My next trip will be Starvation on the 29th and 30th of this month. Petty4life thought he recognized you in your boat. Have a great day and good luck on the water.[cool]

I think we talked to you up there, were you in the yellow boat with your girlfriend/wife? You said you caught a nice cutt and some kokes. I was in that older 16 ft Starcraft. WH2

We ended up with 14 kokes and that one brown I told you about. We also lost 6 before we could get them in the net. Except for the brown, none were over 11.5 inches. Were you guys camping up there?
