River help
#1
I have a relative coming up next week (7/5- 7/7) from out of state and he wants to go flyfishing. He is a beginner and I am not alot better. What river somewhat close to the ogden area would be a good place to go? I am a little familiar with the Ogden river, but not too many of the others. Also what flies do we need? I'm hoping to get into some dry fly action, but we can fish on the bottom if needed. I don't care too much about size, but I would like an area with high numbers to keep it interesting.

Thanks.

Hit the middle weber. Good fishing top and bottom. Try an x-caddis late in the day, through the day try a hopper dropped with a hare's ear or prince.

you can't beat the beauty of the Uintas for an out of stater!!! only 2 hrs from ogden 20 degrees cooler. sooo many cant miss streams. any 14 or smaller dry fly will catch them. but do get off the beaten path, choose a not so popularly known area. any creek a foot wide or more will be loaded with cutts or brooks.
