The Fishing Academy Jig trip is only $40 and yes, it's quite a deal considering you get a free Kicker Jig, free Big Hammer Plastics, free Mustad Hooks, free Pro-Cure bait scents, free drawing for BOOYAA sportswear, free drawing for trips from Long Beach Sportfishing... yes, it's quite the deal. [Smile]

You asked "what's a Jig Fish?" Well, you know it depends on what's biting. Right now Barred Sand Bass, Calico Bass, and Barracuda are what's hot inshore and at the Islands. There's some Yellowtail and White Seabass but the Sand Bass, Calico Bass, and Barracuda are what's happening right now.

We encourage Catch and Release of all fish at all times. In fact, with this year's United Anglers Cast Tournament, you're entitled to submit one entry card for every released fish (legal sized). This makes you eligible for weekly prizes (I won one two weeks ago [Smile]) and the grand prize... a trip for two to Midway Island which includes air fare, lodging, boat, bait, eqpt. etc. It's quite the prize. By the way, there's no limit to the number of entries you can submit, it's limited only to the amount of fish caught and released. Details on the United Anglers Cast Tournament are available at http://www.unitedanglers.com

These Jig trips are light loads, normally about 25 people plus instructors and deck hands. This gives us plenty of room on the Native Sun which is a big (75x26') boat and time to work with each angler on their particular needs. We demonstrate and teach all aspects of Jig fishing from tackle selection, casting, knot tying, jig retrieval techniques for different species, jig casting safety, landing techniques, etc.

The best part of these trips is the fact that they are really fun. It's a laid back, go at your own pace, kind of thing. Hello Dan, this is Dan[laugh]

The trips are well liked by Anglers and Crew because they are light hearted and fun[Smile], not too serious and intense[mad] like some trips can get. These trips are for learning, making some new friends, and having some fun[Smile]. My aim is to make the newbies and everyone else feel comfortable. We have such good weather and fishing now that it's hard not to have a good time.[Smile]

Dan

Fishing Academy --->http://www.fishingacademy.com
