The HUNT is on! The Sportsman Channel is announcing "The HUNT for the Next Sportsman" nationwide tour to start in late August.
The 15-city tour will kick off in Tampa, Fla. on August 23rd and finish in Dallas in mid-October. It features on-air, online, and on-site elements to drive network awareness and value while also creating incredible buzz for affiliates and local retailers.
Fans and Sportsmen alike can attend the Open Call auditions to determine the next great Sportsman based on a variety of interactive elements from play-by-play to general knowledge. Each market's top ten finalists, as voted on by a panel of judges, will then have their auditions posted on TheSportsmanChannel.com for open fan voting. The top vote-getters in each market compete for the ultimate title of The Sportsman Channel's Next Sportsman, named during an episode of The Lodge, and ultimately win a Grand Prize African Safari trip!
"This is like nothing these cities have seen before," said Todd Hansen, Chief Marketing Officer for TSC. "We are pulling out all the stops to raise awareness of The Sportsman Channel. We are encouraging folks to ask their local provider for the channel, including several interactive components for sportsmen and working with our great partners, like Cabela's, to bring more sportsmen to their stores."
The Sportsman Channel is also hunting for engaging, beautiful and enthusiastic talent for their upcoming original programs. The nationwide search will also include the "HUNT for the Next Sportsmodel." The Sportsman Channel is partnering with nationally-recognized marketing agency, Image Factory, to complete the tour.
"The unique thing about "˜The HUNT for The Next Sportsman' tour is that there are interactive elements locally for participants including our audition stage, online elements that combine video and voting, and the winner gets to appear on The Lodge and win a Safari! It's a dynamic experience that everyone can participate in on some level," said Randy Rovegno, Sr. Vice President of Image Factory.
