We had a great couple of trips on the Catch My Drift these past few days. The big dolphin have been swimming in close and raiding us on our reef drifts. Some of the dolphins have been huge too. We’ve been catching some kings and bonito which have been biting excellent this summer. The guys fishing the bottom also have been catching some legal sized mutton snappers, which have been biting better than average out there. Along with the occasional black fin tuna or cobia it has been an awesome summer for us. Nonstop action on kings and bonito and the occasional big something or other.

Anyway, the other day we hooked into and caught some monster dolphins. It was about a 40 pound bull being followed by a pack of 20 pound cows. We hooked the 3 cows first, one of those got off right away and buggered off. Then the big bull ate. We fought the cows for about 20 minutes before boating them, but the bull took us like 45 minutes to catch. It was a really good day. It was the biggest bull we’ve caught in a while out there. Fishing was awesome this summer and its not slowing down any. Looks like we’re going to have a great fall too. Catcha later…

Nice Report Skipper. Looks like you had a good day out there. I'm glad to see that the Hurricanes in your area are bringing in some nice fish for the customers.[cool]
