This site presents an interesting exercise. You answer a few questions, then click the 'find your candidate button' and the program selects the presidential candidate whose position on the issues is most like your own

[#808000]Very cool SM! It looks like I am finally needing to Register as a Republican because my top three were Romney, Guiliani and Thompson. Only one Democrat had a double digit score and that was Biden, and the lowest Republican doubled him up easily LOL.[/#808000]

I prefer romney over obama, other than that pretty darn close....

John Edwards

that guy and dod came in tied for next, 4th place for me...
Dennis Kucinich
Chris Dodd
I would have liked to seen issues like
[ul] [li]international fair traid over free traid.[/li] [li]protection against bankrupsy due to lost jobs or health, Ya know, something for the working class JOE... (not related so much for bad envestments but something to protect home owners against having to file bankrupsy for the sake of an evacuating industry) [/li][/ul]
these two issues are more important to me than all the rest of them combined...
but I figure that must be to hot of a topic for a radio station...LOL

What I think this means is that genneraly people hear what they want to hear, and it will take more of an effort for all of us to realy pay closer attention to what is being said and not so much the emotion behind what is being said...
I have been ranting edwards all along, he came up number one in my issue poll...
