Being an employee of the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife means being a part of an organization whose work touches the life of every Oregonian.
Our statutory mission is to manage Oregon's fish and wildlife resources to prevent serious depletion of any indigenous species, and to provide the optimum economic, commercial, recreational and aesthetic benefits for present and future generations of Oregonians. When you join ODFW, you become a key partner in making that mission successful.
Whether we are improving habitats for fish in coastal rivers, restoring bighorn sheep to their historic range in northeast Oregon, protecting wetlands for migratory birds, or teaching people how to naturescape their yards, our work makes it possible for Oregonians everywhere to enjoy the bountiful natural fish and wildlife resources of this state.
