Talk with folks at the information and vending booths, listen to tall tales, or join the kids at the children's activity center. A warming campfire and live music round out the festival highlights.

In addition, this year participants can enjoy guided bus tours highlighting the historic houses and buildings of this quaint Victorian town. This unique opportunity, for which there will be a small charge, is available during the festival only. The Town of Georgetown is part of the Georgetown-Silver Plume National Historic District, a federally designated U.S. National Historic Landmark. Several local shops and galleries will join in the fun, offering special coupons and nature-oriented merchandise. Stay in Georgetown for the evening and enjoy special dinners and entertainment planned to complement the festival.

"The festival is a great opportunity to just celebrate Colorado and our wildlife heritage," said Karen Hardesty, Watchable Wildlife Coordinator. "Early November is the beginning of prime bighorn sheep viewing, so great wildlife watching is just about guaranteed. We had a great time last year, and this year should be even better."
