If you ever have a good day at Pali
es, you won't ever want to go anywhere else. That was today. Got to the lake at about 9:15 and drilled my five holes. I was barely able to get two poles out before the fish went nuts. I went back and forth between these two poles for forty five minutes and fifteen fish. All nice 16 to 18 inch cutts. Finally got a third pole out and ended up with nine more fish in the next hour. And then it went cold. So typical of that lake. All fish were caught on nightcrawlers on dead poles. I was fishing in about thirty five feet of water but fish were suspended at about twenty to twenty five. I never really had time to jig. Ended up with two browns and the rest cutts. Hopefully today was not a fluke and the lake fishes good all through the winter. Good luck if you head up.
